Welcome to "ARETOUSSA PENSION"
Welcome to our place!!!


"Aretoussa Pension" is located in the old, traditional village Pitsidia,
south of Heraklion near the Lybian Sea.
A lot of trees and flowers give the house its special character..

The landscape of Crete is like a good Prose.
Clear, pure and beautiful is this island, said Nikos Kasantzakis
in his roman "Alexis Zorbas".
And this is also the perfect description for our pension "Aretoussa"
and it's surroundings.

All our very clean rooms have ensuite shower and WC, view to the garden and to the village.
Air-condition is also available.
On our veranda, you can have breakfast every morning - from fruit salad to omelette - we prepare everything fresh for you. (no buffet).



Any time you like it, we serve breakfast α la Carte in the garden or on the big veranda.

In our place you find always Backgammon, books and magazines.

The bookshop near to us has actual newspapers.

Information for the area you get of course from us. We speak Greek, German, English and French.

And if you really miss the TV...our satellite brings you on each place of the world.

How to reach us
From the airport of Heraklion drive the direction to Moires and from there the way to Matala.
The total distance is around 65 kilometers.
