From the traditional fishing village of Plakias, located in the southern Crete, a narrow lane leads around the corner and follows the coastline leading in front of the Horizon Beach Hotel.
Just 400m west of the harbour the hotel is set by the sea and enjoys splendidly open views accross the bay.
Right below Horizon hotel is a sand and pebbles beach, with clear water from where you can swim and sunbath.

In nearby or longer distances you can find the typical Cretan countryside with wild flowers and

views of the Lybian sea. Intervals at taverns for traditional cuisine tastes or at a kafenio
(local cafe) are unique delightful destinations for different walks.
Family atmosphere is paramount at the Horizon Beach hotel which has just 26 rooms,
and the owner's three children can often be found playing in the reception area or garden.
